The Crazy 8s, one of the most popular college bands to have ever emerged from the Pacific Northwest, made their way to the top of the charts (hitting the space for #1 on College Radio). Their most celebrated pieces are "Johnny Q." and "Law and Order." The Crazy 8s were first founded at Oregon State University.
After living in Portland less than a year Billy D & the Hoodoos is the current recipient of the Cascade Blues Association’s prestigious Muddy Award for Best New Act. Though heavily influenced by Chicago’s blues, Billy D isn’t just a typical blues man. His writing and musical talents form a “Backbeat Roots” style that goes way past traditional blues music.
